Ownership

The property was acquired in the fall of 2009 by Northshore Market Investors, LLC (NMI). The partnership is comprised of local investors who believe in the long-term viability and quality of the Northshore property. Northshore Town Center was conceived and started by another developer; however, the development’s success fell victim to challenging economic times. NMI brought a new vision, team and strategy to the development and the first phase of Northshore is scheduled to open in the summer of 2012.

Northshore Town Center is a 140+-acre master-planned, mixed-use and pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, unparalleled in the Knoxville community. Extensive time and resources have been invested by NMI to develop architectural guidelines and standards to ensure a consistent theme and quality for future phases of the project.

The Developers

CHM, LLC is the development manager of the Northshore Town Center project. CHM’s principals are seasoned retail developers, which include Budd Cullom, Jim Harrison and Mike McGuffin. Collectively, these developers have 55 years of development experience and have been responsible for more than 10 million square feet of retail development throughout the Southeast.

CHM has extensive experience with such national retailers as Target, Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, Publix, Kroger, Kmart, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods and other high-visibility companies. As the manager, CHM’s responsibilities include entitlements to the property, sales and leasing, site work construction and off-site road improvements.
