Northshore Town Center Announces New Tenants

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – June 20, 2012 – As the first phase of the Northshore Town Center project launches this summer, the smaller retail shops surrounding Target and Publix are beginning to fill with new occupants. The large anchor tenants’ newest neighbors will include four area businesses, including Barre3, The Nail Spa, Froyoz and Fusion Tanning Studios.

“We’re thrilled to announce the first retailers to surround our anchor tenants in Northshore Town Center,” said Mike McGuffin, a partner with NMI, LLC. “This is an excellent location for any retailer to set-up shop. With Publix and Target as neighbors, the benefits will be huge for those who choose to surround them.”

Barre3 will be launching their second Knoxville location at Northshore Town Center.  Founded in 2008, barre3 combines elements of ballet barre, yoga and Pilates, with an emphasis on posture and lengthening. Classes are designed to transform the body to one of equal balance, strength and flexibility.

“We are so excited to bring our second location of barre3 to Tennessee,” said co-owner Whitni Rolfes. “I just know people are going to fall in love with the workout and the community that we our building.”

Fusion Tanning Studios will be unveiling a never-before-seen interior at their new Northshore Town Center location. “This location will mark our tenth store opening in Knoxville and we are excited to share a fresh new look with our clients as soon as they walk through the door,” said Noel Russell, owner of Fusion Tanning Studios.

Fusion offers a wide array of services, including the country's most popular sunless booth, the Mystic Tan HD and the Hydration Station Spa.

Founded in Knoxville, Froyoz will be opening their fifth area location at Northshore Town Center. “We have been looking for the perfect opportunity to open a new store in this area and are thrilled to be a part of this project,” said Josh Bishop, one of the owners of Froyoz.

Froyoz is a self-serve frozen yogurt restaurant which offers 14 daily flavors of yogurt and sorbet along with a wide variety of fresh fruit, nuts and candy to top off every serving.

Northshore Town Center represents the second store venture for The Nail Spa which offers full-service manicure and pedicure services as well as eyebrow waxing and eyelash extension services. “We are excited to be part of a retail center that appeals to a wide client base from those in Bearden and Northshore to those in neighboring Blount County,” said owner Lee Do. The Nail Spa currently has a location in Turkey Creek.

Northshore Town Center customers looking for a quick hair cut will have the opportunity to take advantage of Great Clips’ new online check-in service. “This opening marks our 17th Knoxville-area location and we’re eager to showcase this new check-in app, which will decrease wait time for our customers during peak hours,” said Rob Goggins, the senior vice president of real estate and development for Great Clips, Inc. Great Clips is the world’s largest salon franchise with nearly 3,200 salons across North America.

Northshore Town Center is a 134-acre site located at Pellissippi Parkway and Northshore Drive. The development will contain retailers, restaurants, entertainment, office space, plus single-family homes, multi-family homes, apartments, condos and townhomes, all complemented by a five-acre lake, a park and abundant greenspace.

As both Publix and Target near completion and prepare to open in late July, Northshore Town Center will continue to announce additional tenants over the next several months.

Northshore Town Center is being developed by NMI, LLC, a Knoxville-based development team. Members of the team include Budd Cullom, Jim Harrison and Mike McGuffin.
